Department of Applied Informatics and Computational Physics

The research activities of the department's members can be classified as a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary applications of computational methods and information technologies. In most cases, the authors of the projects also develop highly specialized computer programs necessary to perform the calculations.

The main topics of this work include:

  • application of computational physics and statistical physics methods to study complex systems and interdisciplinary problems;
  • theoretical studies of the properties of low-dimensional quantum systems and quantum machine learning algorithms;
  • information technologies and systems research.
